Declaring a major in Public Health
- ɳ University students declare majors by the end of sophomore year or at 45 earned credits
- Current students interested in the Public Health major or minor should connect with a Public Health advisor as soon as possible.
Public Health Requirements
Course Planning for Public Health Major

- (includes two and four-year course planning)
- Courses to complete in the first two years to finish a PH major in four years:
- PH 101 Public Health (fall or spring)
- PH 200 Epidemiology (fall or spring)
- If Math Level I:
- BA: MATH 122 College Algebra (prerequisite for Statistics)
- BS: MATH 122 and MATH 125 Pre-Calculus (prerequisite for CHEM 230)
- If BS, complete at least one year of natural sciences before junior year:
- BIOL 201 + lab, BIOL 200 + lab (fall or spring)
- CHEM 220 + lab (fall), CHEM 230 + lab (spring)
