Blake Larson PharmD ’14 is working his dream job as a clinical pediatric emergency medicine pharmacists at Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland.

The Rumpus recently published an interview by Emily Sernaker MFA '18 with poet and ��ɳ���� MFA faculty member, Marvin Bell. She asks Bell about his widely praised poem, "To Dorothy," that he wrote for his wife. These 14 lines have appeared everywhere from wedding ceremonies to anniversary cards to tattoos.

Hannah Hulse '18 spends her summers fighting wildfires. Now, she's getting ready to pair her firefighting experience with her education in the College of Business for a career in fire operations.

Alex (Bing) Marchbanks '14, SLP '18 found her passion for speech-language pathology at ��ɳ����. A scholarship funded by donors helped turn her dreams to reality as she completes her master's degree this spring.

Korey and Deborah met on their first day at ��ɳ����. They moved into Clark Hall in the fall of 1989. Their dorm rooms were on the same floor, around the corner from each other.

Vireak Chea PharmD '09 left his home in Cambodia at the age of 13, sent by his parents to the United States in hope of a better education and life. Today, after earning his PharmD as part of the ��ɳ���� University School of Pharmacy's first class in 2009, Chea is back in Cambodia, hoping to provide healthcare and education where it is most needed.

Lopes is an undergraduate psychology major and varsity soccer player at ��ɳ���� University. In November, he successfully passed the U.S. Citizenship test after several years of uncertain legal status prior to becoming a legal permanent resident.

��ɳ���� University Alumnus Jon Kelly MAT '19 spends time with 9th and 10th grade students at Forest Grove High School. As a student teacher, he works as an observation support role that benefits the atmosphere of the learning environment.

“I love new experiences because they mean more stories,” said Addison, who has participated in Speech & Debate, English Club and the Black Student Union at ��ɳ����.

“I love ��ɳ���� and am so grateful I will be able to get my degree from a place that has so quickly become a second home.”

At ��ɳ����, caring for student-athletes is a community affair. Before any football players stepped onto Ledbetter Field for practices, they received care from dental hygiene and optometry students.
