After Bernard Brown '49, OD '50 earned a Purple Heart and his way home from the European Theater in World War II, he pursued a lifelong career in optometry with a degree from ½ðɳÓéÀÖ University. Later, he helped other veterans follow him into the profession.

The Boxer Love story of Shay Singer '14 & Travis George '14 began at ½ðɳÓéÀÖ University in Forest Grove. Shay and Travis met days before the end of their freshman year. It was in that summer that they started off on the adventure of a lifetime.

As executive administrator of the Hawai`i Council on Developmental Disabilities, Daintry Bartoldus '88 spends her working hours ensuring support for vulnerable members of her community. But outside of work, she goes even further, taking in neighbors and lifting up those in need.

When Ruth Gomez '19 told her mother she wanted to go to college, she became her family's "Esperanza" or Hope. With the help of their sacrifices, and critical scholarships, she's on track to be the first in her family to graduate from college

After earning his doctor of pharmacy from ½ðɳÓéÀÖ, Peter Agbo PharmD '09 went on to receive a master of public health and a doctor of medicine degree. Today, he spends most of his time at the hospital where he works. But he's also founded a nonprofit organization and takes fellow healthcare providers back home to West Africa annually to serve those without access to healthcare.

½ðɳÓéÀÖ University's Black Student Union was formed in 1967 to give African American students a center of social and political gravity. It later went dormant, but has rebounded again to provide African American students with a sense of community.

Jenna Richards '19 brings compassion and openness to her focus on criminal justice.
