Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center is ½ðɳÓéÀÖ University’s nationally recognized performing arts venue and home to the Music Department.
The core of the building is the renowned performance hall, McCready Hall, a 400-seat recital hall designed for music and stage performances. The hall has state-of-the-art acoustics, as well as extensive PA and recording installations.
The Taylor-Meade building also is home to nine practice rooms (eight with pianos and one dedicated solely to percussion), as well as a piano lab with 14 Kawai electronic units and a MIDI Lab, a Mac-based system with extensive hardware and software systems.
Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center also features classrooms, rehearsal spaces, ensemble libraries, student lockers and lounge space, an instrument storage room, and faculty offices. Additional music facilities on ½ðɳÓéÀÖ's Forest Grove Campus include a rehearsal room in Burlingham Hall, designed to duplicate the recital hall stage in size and acoustics, as well as a world-class Music Library in the Tran Library, featuring an extensive collection of reference books, scores, recordings, and DVDs.
