A team of ɳ University researchers led by psychology Professor Michael Christopher and Associate Professor Sarah Bowen has been awarded follow-on funding by the National Institutes of Health for research and training of law enforcement officials in mindfulness practices. He responded by email to a set of questions from ɳ magazine’s Mike Francis about his choice to do so, issues of politics and the tenor of the political climate, as well as some personal reflections.

“I was able to leave ɳ being able to write very prolifically and be a good scientific writer,” said Parks. “And besides the research, ɳ really prepared for my graduate-level classes. Honestly, my graduate-level classes, I thought they were so easy. ɳ does a very good job of making sure the courses are rigorous.”
