The National Institute of Health has awarded Pharmacy Professor Fawzy Elbarbry $365,966 for a three-year study as part of its “Support for Research Excellence” program. His study, which will involve student researchers, will examine alternate ways to treat hypertension.

A team of ��ɳ���� University researchers led by psychology Professor Michael Christopher and Associate Professor Sarah Bowen has been awarded follow-on funding by the National Institutes of Health for research and training of law enforcement officials in mindfulness practices. The project is intended to affect and improve outcomes when first responders arrive in volatile situations.

He responded by email to a set of questions from ��ɳ���� magazine’s Mike Francis about his choice to do so, issues of politics and the tenor of the political climate, as well as some personal reflections. 

The collected papers of ��ɳ���� alumnus and former U.S. Rep. Les AuCoin are now available to researchers, students and others at the Tran Library at ��ɳ���� University.

Faculty, students and alumni from the ��ɳ���� University School of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training were recognized in August at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) House of Delegates held in Washington D.C.
