Join us on March 12 for a reception celebrating our current exhibition of the collection of local feminist activist Mary Whitmore. The exhibit includes protest memorabilia, photos, and rare publications from the 1970s to the present related to her lifetime of work for women's rights and gender equity.
Nominations are now being accepted through Friday, March 14 for Staff Senate. Senators have a front-row seat to learn and engage in larger decisions made at the university. The group reviews new programs and policies and meets with administrative leaders to ensure staff input is considered in the decision-making process. There are eight openings for the 2025-27 Staff Senate term.
Staff members, this is the time of year when you can self-nominate or nominate a colleague to serve on a university standing committee. Consider getting involved in ½ðɳÓéÀÖ’s shared governance as a staff representative on either the Diversity, Finance, or Honors & Awards Committees. These positions are for a three-year term starting in September. This is an opportunity to collaborate with employees from across the university and learn about other areas at the university.
The spring season opens with the production of the Alfred Hitchcock classic in March & concludes with the annual Choreographers Informal in May.
The Staff Senate Professional Development Committee is pleased to announce a Peace of Mind and End of Life Planning Workshop presented by The Heartwood Collective. This one-hour online interactive workshop supports employees by leading them through the practicalities of end-of-life preparation while also covering how to navigate these topics with parents and older loved ones. Advanced registration is required.
