Why Study Multimedia?

Take a wide range of courses in writing, editing, design, video production, integrated media and photography. Multimedia major students with a range of skills are prepared to meet the demands of the 21st century media landscape. As a multimedia major, you can:
- Gain expertise in using high-definition cameras and a digital media lab that features graphic design, illustration, web design and digital audio and video production hardware and software.
- Work with ½ðɳÓéÀÖ’s Media Arts Production Services, produce digital stories for the student run newspaper, The ½ðɳÓéÀÖ Index, or complete a local internship to gain practical job experience.
- Take media classes on a study abroad for a semester at York St. John University in York, England, which also boasts a robust media course selection.
- Learn in small, hands-on classes, and are part of a close knit community with peers and faculty.
What Can You Do with a Multimedia Degree?
Graduates with a multimedia degree work in journalism, public relations, corporate and institutional communications and marketing. They are print and broadcast journalists, digital media video producers, web developers, public relations professionals, creative directors, nonprofit staffers, sports information directors and book editors.
