A first-generation college student, Garcia Angeles started his life in a farming community in Mexico. At ��ɳ����, he became a teacher who would support other English language learners like him.

As a faculty member in ��ɳ���� University’s School of Learning & Teaching, Bryan Cichy-Parker is focused on other people’s needs: both his students and the generations of children they will influence. “From the admissions process to graduation, you have someone by your side who thinks about your needs and the needs of the possibly two generations of children that you could end up teaching.

Aurea and Leslie Lomeli each earned a bachelor of education in teaching and English language learning after studying side by side at ��ɳ����.

Dorothy Schimke '64 came to ��ɳ���� when she was 4, when her father was head of the Chemistry Department. She's stayed part of the ��ɳ���� family throughout her lifetime.

Judy (Zimmerman) Glenney ’71 is a pioneer in women’s weightlifting, moving the sport to the international arena and winning along the way.
