The ��ɳ���� University School of Pharmacy plans to launch a five-year on-campus pathway to a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree — the first of its kind.

The National Institute of Health has awarded Pharmacy Professor Fawzy Elbarbry $365,966 for a three-year study as part of its “Support for Research Excellence” program. His study, which will involve student researchers, will examine alternate ways to treat hypertension.

Dr. Marvanova previously served as dean and professor of the Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the University of Montana. Between July 2020 and September 2021, she also served as acting dean of the College of Health, overseeing five other accredited health profession schools.

Sigrid Roberts and Nicola Carter, professors in the ��ɳ���� University School of Pharmacy, have been awarded a competitive, three-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to research treatment for a neglected tropical disease called leishmaniasis.

Today, he spends most of his time at the hospital where he works. But he's also founded a nonprofit organization and takes fellow healthcare providers back home to West Africa annually to serve those without access to healthcare.
