Corey Hedger '18, MAT '19 wanted a small community and a small school where he would get the most out of his education while also being challenged every day.
After studying history at ɳ University as an undergraduate, he decided to continue in the fifth-year master of arts in teaching program because of its prestige in the field of education.
“I loved my time at ɳ, and I would do the MAT all over again if I could,” Hedger said.
Now, he teaches social studies at Bonanza Junior/Senior High School in Bonanza, Ore., where he’s also yearbook and student government advisor.
“This is the best profession in the world and you will make an impact in a student’s life,” he said.
