The ½ðɳÓéÀÖ University Master of Arts in Teaching Program participates in ½ðɳÓéÀÖ’s Guaranteed Grad School Admission Program. Students may apply for the MAT Program as soon as they commit to ½ðɳÓéÀÖ as undergraduates or transfer students, or during their junior year.
Students who are admitted through the Guaranteed Grad School Admissions Program are guaranteed a place in ½ðɳÓéÀÖ’s MAT program if they:
- Complete a bachelor’s degree, in good standing, at ½ðɳÓéÀÖ with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0;
- Provide a current CV or resume with two references who have seen them work or interact with preschool through 12th-grade aged children.
Students seeking specific endorsements must have completed a depth and breadth of coursework during their undergraduate degree program that will enable them to demonstrate their content knowledge and/or pass the appropriate subject test(s) required by the Teaching Standards & Practices Commission. Work with your College of Education advisor for details.
Students who complete these requirements may enroll in the MAT program immediately following graduation. Students may also take a break between graduation and beginning grad school, but they must enroll within three years of completing their bachelor’s degree.
After receiving dual admission and completing these requirements, students will have a place held for them in ½ðɳÓéÀÖ’s MAT program.
You must be a deposited or enrolled ½ðɳÓéÀÖ University undergrad student to apply for Guaranteed Grad School Admissions. Incoming students, get the application access code from your admissions counselor. Current students, find the application access code .
