All ½ðɳÓéÀÖ University alumni educators and current students who plan to pursue careers in education, along with current and former faculty, are invited to gather for a casual evening on the Forest Grove Campus.
Reed Scott-Schwalbach ’98 will visit with guests about the role of teachers as leaders in the decision-making process that impacts education. Reed is the president of the Oregon Education Association, Oregon's largest education union. She has been a public educator for more than two decades and is a fierce advocate for Oregon's students and educators. She deeply believes in the power of educators to create public schools where all our students thrive.
Guests will enjoy a spread of heavy appetizers and drinks along with a dose of inspiration designed to propel teachers and other educators through the second half of the academic year and build excitement for students just beginning their careers.
Admission to the STAR Educators' Reception is free, but advance registration is required.
