Areas I Teach
Christine Gilmore is the Director of Leadership and Community Engagement for Rural Development Initiatives. Rural Development Initiatives (RDI) strengthens rural people, places, and economies in the ½ðɳÓéÀÖ Northwest. RDI provides on-the-ground leadership development and adaptive technical assistance as communities imagine new possibilities, face new challenges, and diversify their services. Christine has served in the nonprofit sector for 15+ years, helping organizations balance the need for bold entrepreneurial initiatives with fiscally conservative practices while expanding mission and vision. Christine works to build the capacity of on-the-ground leaders, organizations, communities, and networks so they can collaborate on complex rural issues. She has a deep passion for making change and elevating communities through the empowerment of people.
Christine lives in Moscow, Idaho with her husband and 2 children (and at the writing of this bio Christine is expecting her 3rd child who will join the family in mid-May). She is an active member of the Moscow community and currently serves on the Latah County Community Foundation board helping to support the rural nonprofits of the county.
